Family is important for a person to survive in a society. A family plays many essential roles in a person's life. Functions of the families may differ according to their composition.
Roles of a family are as follows:-
1 Reproduction - It is a family's motive to produce new progeny and take the genes of the family further ahead into the world.
2 Satisfaction of sexual needs of the married partner - In a family, it is important to meet the bar of sexual needs of the married partner for happy and long-lasting relations.
3 Child-rearing - It is the duty of the family to take care of the children in the family until they are adults.
4 Taking care of sick members - A family should support aged parents or grandparents emotionally, financially, and physically.
5 Taking care of sick members - A family should always take care ad support the needy person of the family in times of crisis, like in sickness.
6 Financial management - There are many types of families and alternate types of families that do financial planning according to their capacities.
